What does it take for philanthropy, nonprofits, policy makers, and financial institutions to collectively advocate for governmental policies that support equitable wealth building and economic mobility?
New Mexico AFN held a webinar on May 5, 2021 as a conversation between funders, stakeholders, and nonprofit practitioners who are working to take collective action in nonprofit policy work related to economic justice in New Mexico. As a case study, we heard about HB37 The Paid Sick Leave Act, from Andrea Serrano of Organizers in the Land of Enchantment (OLÉ), as well as from partner funders, and sponsors of the bill.
