Puget Sound. 2021 POVERTY SUMMIT
The West Coast Poverty Center and the Puget Sound Asset Funders Network invite you to join fellow stakeholders from the policy, non-profit, philanthropic, and research sectors for shared learning and conversation about:
In our region as elsewhere in the country, pandemic-related losses have been disproportionately borne by communities of color. Our keynote speaker, Jeremie Greer, co-founder of Liberation in a Generation, will highlight how the historic diversion of resources and wealth away from communities of color shapes the stark, inequitable impacts of the pandemic and describe his vision for how shifts in wealth and power can be potential levers for reducing inequity going forward.
During the Summit, we will ask you to contribute to our collective understanding of how the pandemic has played out in our region by identifying unseen challenges we should attend to as well as opportunities the pandemic and the response to it may have presented for advancing ideas and changing policies and practices that support a more equitable future.
We hope you can join us. Please REGISTER by June 1st if you plan to attend.
This event is invitation-only. If you would like to join us, please contact Annette@assetfunders.org before registering.
