Financial Health Pulse: U.S. Financial Health Trends and What We Can Do About Them

Since 2018, the Financial Health Network has conducted the Financial Health Pulse research initiative to identify national financial health trends. The Financial Health Pulse combines probability-based, longitudinal survey data with administrative data, with the goal to provide regular updates and actionable insights about the financial lives of Americans. The U.S. Trends Report is the annual report of the Financial Health Pulse research initiative that documents how financial health in the U.S. is changing over time and differs across consumers.

Similarly, Financial Health Network recently launched the Financial Health Frontiers report aimed at identifying the future of financial health. The initiative seeks to ignite the next era of solutions aimed at improving outcomes for the millions of Americans who aren’t financially healthy by focusing on the most vulnerable households – including those with lower incomes and those who are systematically marginalized.

Please join AFN and the Financial Health Network on September 18, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET for a collaborative presentation highlighting the intersection of findings from the Pulse 2024 U.S. Trends Report and the Financial Health Frontiers including:

  • Trends in how Americans are weathering day-to-day economic shocks, particularly within vulnerable communities and among disadvantaged groups
  • Responsive strategies for the nonprofit sector and philanthropy to support the financial health of consumers
  • Current and future headwinds and tailwinds impacting the financial lives of Americans
