Early Learning from North Texas Early Adopters: Integrated Services Delivery - Working Families Success

November 17, 2016 | 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM | Communities Foundation of Texas

We invite you to join your colleagues for a special Funders Forum on November 17. This Forum will provide funders, nonprofits, and policymakers with a deep learning opportunity exploring a new approach for moving working families toward financial independence: The Working Family Success model.

This half day program brings together the North Texas nonprofit "Early Adopters" of this approach as well as the grantmakers underwriting the implementation of the model for a candid discussion about early learning, key lessons, and plans for 2017 and beyond.

Working Families Success provides a framework for integrating targeted programming delivery along with financial supports that are specifically designed to make it easier for low-income families to obtain critically needed work-support and financial capability services.

Based on work developed by The Annie E. Casey Foundation, this model is built on the concept that integrating or bundling services in an intentional and thoughtful way helps clients overcome barriers and advance economically.  Communities Foundation of Texas brought the approach to North Texas in 2014 through a multi-year pilot engaging nine (9) local agencies serving families across the Metroplex.

THE AGENDA:

Participants will have an opportunity to learn and ask questions through three sessions over a half-day:

Part I
Panel: The Working Family Success Model and Replication in North Texas - A strategic discussion with local funders about bringing this approach to North Texas;

Part II
Panel: Early Adopters & Early Learning - Hear directly from the early adopters about evidence to date and lessons learned; and

Part III
Moderated Table Talks - Select two topics of interest to you and engage with your peers in small group learning sessions to inform and improve your own support of working families.

Optional Part IV: Special Session*
Lunch and Learn with EARN.  We invite nonprofits interested in offering savings products to their clients to an optional brown bag lunch hosted by EARN.  EARN offers a simple online savings program to bring the power of savings to more people.  Space for this lunch and learn is extremely limited.  Please click below to signal your interest in participating.  We will be in touch to confirm your RSVP request -
