Yvette E. Ruiz is a community engagement executive with more than 15 years of experience building partnerships across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She joined OpenAI as Community Engagement Lead for Stargate and Data Center Design in August 2026, where she develops community-centered strategies for the company’s artificial intelligence infrastructure investments. Her work focuses on building trusted local relationships and ensuring that communities hosting major infrastructure projects can participate in and benefit from the economic opportunities they create.
Previously, Yvette served as Region Executive for Community Engagement at JPMorgan Chase, leading the firm’s community engagement strategy across the southern United States. In that role, she worked alongside community organizations, government leaders, financial institutions, and business partners to advance affordable housing, workforce development, small-business growth, financial health, and disaster resilience. She also helped establish the Texas Heirs’ Property Coalition, bringing together stakeholders from across the state to address barriers to property ownership and generational wealth.
