Sue is the Vice President for Information Services and Manager of the Income Council for the United Way of Tarrant County. She manages the United Way’s Earn Well initiative to improve the financial stability of low income working families and provides oversight for the 211 Information and Referral Services for the county. Sue works with financial institutions to promote access to financial services and financial education/coaching. Sue served as the Director of the 21st Community Learning Center program for Fort Worth ISD for five years and served as the national Afterschool Ambassador for Texas. Prior to her FWISD position she was the Vice President of the Work/Family Division for First Texas Council of Camp Fire. Other experience in the field of early childhood includes managerial positions at The Child Care Group and Army Child Development Services in Frankfurt, Germany. Sue has taught middle and high school in California and worked for American Express Bank in Heidelberg and Stuttgart, Germany. She currently serves on the boards of the Women’s Policy Forum, the Tarrant County Emergency Food and Shelter Program, North Texas Asset Funders, Strong Families Coalition, Literacy Conexus and works with many other coalitions and groups. Sue is married and has two children and one grandchild.
