Patricia Mejia serves as Vice President of Community Engagement and Impact at the San Antonio Area Foundation.

In her role at the San Antonio Area Foundation, Patricia provides executive leadership and strategic direction to guide philanthropic investments. Patricia’s commitment to creating more equitable communities has served as firm ground for her 20 years of nonprofit executive leadership at organizations such Methodist Healthcare Ministries and NALCAB, the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders.

She also has traveled to various developing countries such as Bangladesh and Honduras to study more intimately women’s leadership in microenterprise and community development. She has completed the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard and is a dual graduate of St. Mary’s University. She is a proud new mom to Ms. Karolina whom she enjoys making memories alongside.
