Parisa Fatehi-Weeks is Senior Director for Global Community Impact at Indeed in Austin. Previously, she worked at Google and Google Fiber on strategies to narrow the digital divide for underserved and marginalized communities. Immediately after graduation, Parisa served as a law clerk to the Hon. Vanessa D. Gilmore, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Texas in Houston. She then spent four years at Public Advocates Inc. in San Francisco, first as Equal Justice Works Fellow and then as Staff Attorney. There she led the organization’s Climate Justice strategy — utilizing California’s climate change laws to increase affordable housing and public transportation for low-income households in the Bay Area.
At Texas Law, Parisa participated in the Transnational Worker Rights Clinic and the Immigration Clinic. She was also active in the American Constitution Society, Middle Eastern Law Students’ Association, and the successful effort to establish a loan repayment assistance program at Texas Law. She spent her summers working at the National Employment Law Project in New York City and the Texas Civil Rights Project in Austin.
A native of Iran, Parisa grew up in Austin. Prior to law school, she worked at the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. While in law school, she also completed a Master’s degree at the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
