As a community development advisor based in the St. Louis Fed’s Memphis Branch, Norman Jones III focuses on strategic partnerships to build public trust and community alignment in western Tennessee, the Arkansas Delta and northern Mississippi. He is responsible for promoting economic equity and mobility for low- and moderate-income communities and vulnerable populations.
Previously, Jones spent time in government affairs and then procurement for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. He also served as chief of staff for strategic planning in support of the Federal Reserve’s IT infrastructure. Outside the Fed, Jones has worked locally in various aspects of community relations and high-level strategy for sustainable crisis response.
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy and administration from James Madison University, as well as a master’s degree in conflict transformation and social justice from Queen’s University Belfast. He is Green Belt certified for Six Sigma process improvement.
