She has been with the Community Foundation since 2009 and currently leads a team that works with over two hundred national corporations to build each company’s unique giving program. LaVon was born and raised in Kansas City. She and Jay, husband of 32 years, live in Kansas City’s beloved Waldo neighborhood. LaVon and Jay’s daughter and her family also reside in Waldo. LaVon’s love language comes through her love for cooking. When Lovie (LaVon’s grandmother name) is not active in the community, she can be found in her kitchen whipping up something amazing in her kitchen to enjoy with family and friends.
