Jess George is the Head of Digital Equity & Community Impact for Google Fiber. Jess works with industry leaders, nonprofit organizations, policy makers and local communities to address issues of access, opportunity and digital inclusion. Prior to joining Google Fiber, Jess worked for 15 years in the nonprofit field, primarily on issues of immigration policy and civic engagement. In addition to serving on the Carolinas Asset Funders Network Steering Committee, Jess serves on the Institute for Emerging Issues National Advisory Board, United Way of the Greater Triangle Board of Directors, the Atkins Library at UNC Charlotte Board of Advisors, and The Greenlight Fund Advisory Council. Originally from a tiny town in central New York state, Jess has called Charlotte, NC home for over 20 years. She earned her BA in International Politics from Penn State University.
