Hillis Schild is a long-time resident of Little Rock where she began working in the banking industry over 29 years ago.  She is the Director of Communications and Community Development for Arvest Bank for Northeast, Southwest and Central Arkansas.  Her role focuses on internal and external communication as well as assisting the bank in meeting expectations of the Community Reinvestment Act.  Hillis loves her role at the bank which allows her to assist in shaping partnerships between Arvest and community organizations which benefit our communities in Arkansas.

Hillis has a passion for moving Arkansas forward through strengthening the quality of life for low-income Arkansans.  She currently provides technical and financial advice through service on the following organizations’ board of directors or advisory committees: Arkansas Coalition for Housing and Neighborhood Growth and Empowerment, SoMa 501,  Junior Achievement of Arkansas – Central Advisory Board, Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation, Pulaski County Brownfield Revolving Loan Committee, University District Development Corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Community Development Advisory Council and the Heartland Renaissance Low-Income Advisory Committee. 

Little Rock has been her home for most of her life although she was born in Memphis, TN.   She is a proud graduate of Little Rock Central High School and Ouachita Baptist University.  Her husband is Stuart, they have two “four-legged kids” and she enjoys all aspects of the Natural State including gardening, and fly fishing.
