Christi Baker serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Asset Funders Network (AFN). With expertise in applied research, facilitation, program design, and financial health, Christi has authored various publications, including the AFN brief From Relief to Resilience: Reimagining Investments, and facilitates numerous AFN webinars and convenings.

In the asset building field for nearly 30 years, Christi Baker has founded her own consulting firm to work with national and local organizations. Previously, Christi served as Asset Building Program Manager for Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA), Executive Director for HomeownershipSF, and Deputy Director for San Diego Neighborhood Housing Services (now Community HousingWorks) and worked for NeighborWorks America.

Christi holds a Master’s degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies in counseling psychology/community mental health and a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in anthropology and archaeology. She is a certified coach from the Coaches Training Institute. Christi resides in San Francisco, California.
