Carrie Coleman serves as the Kansas City Program Officer for Asset Funders Network (AFN). In this role, she brings together grantmakers, policymakers, and key stakeholders to align strategies, invest in proven and emerging solutions, and advance economic equity and mobility in the region.

Before AFN, Carrie spent over two decades in strategic communications, nonprofit leadership, public health policy, and program development. Her public health policy work spanned healthcare access, smoke-free legislation, mental health advocacy, food policy, and clinical trial access for the American Cancer Society, UCLA Center for Scholars & Storytellers, KC Healthy Kids, and Burrell Behavioral Health. Carrie also played a key role in launching Walking Softer, an environmental nonprofit, where she led strategy for developing its education initiatives and Young Leaders Awards.

Carrie holds an M.A. in Communications from Missouri State University and is a Positive Intelligence Coach, an Immunity to Change Facilitator, and a member of the Climate Coaching Alliance. She currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri.
