Ashley McIver serves as Regional Director – North Texas at Asset Funders Network (AFN), where she leads the North Texas AFN Chapter and supports AFN’s national income and employment strategies with a focus on youth and young adults. In this role, Ashley leads efforts that bring together grantmakers, public systems, financial institutions, and community stakeholders to connect and discover best practices, invest in promising interventions, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and identify actionable strategies that advance economic mobility, workforce pathways, and long-term wealth building opportunities for children, youth, and families across North Texas and nationwide.
Before joining AFN, Ashley spent more than a decade at Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT), where she oversaw strategic grantmaking across economic security, education and workforce development. She led the foundation’s place-based initiative designed to align its investments in health, wealth, public safety, and education with community-driven solutions that would improve economic opportunity and overall well-being in Southern Dallas neighborhoods. She previously served as Co-Chair of the North Texas AFN Steering Committee and has helped advance several regional initiatives including the launch of the Dallas-Fort Worth Opportunity Youth Collaborative in partnership with the Aspen Institute.
Ashley holds a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Arkansas – Little Rock and is a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Psychology. She currently serves on the boards of Tarrant County To & Through Partnership (T3) and Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (CSW). Ashley is also co-author of I Said What I Said, an anthology centering Black women in nonprofit leadership. She resides in Dallas, Texas.
