Homeownership Through CDFIs: How Philanthropy Can Support Pathways to Building Wealth

Homeownership is a key pathway to building and preserving wealth, improving health outcomes, and strengthening communities. As market conditions make homeownership increasingly unaffordable for lower- and middle-income households, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), with a proven track record of bridging affordability gaps, are needed to help those households access homeownership pathways and facilitate generational wealth-building.

In this webinar, leading funders and their CDFI partners will share strategies for strengthening CDFIs’ community-centered homeownership initiatives. Examples include grant funding for financial coaching, capital for lending and real estate development, and capacity building for growth.

Join us on Thursday, July 17, 1:00-2:00 P.M. ET, to explore how philanthropic funding and capital can unlock opportunity through stronger support of CDFIs and catalyze homeownership opportunities in the communities they serve.
