Climate as a New Issue Area and Across All Issue Areas
We depend on the physical environment and its resources for our health and the economic activities in which we and our communities engage. Climate, in turn, impacts the quality of our financial and overall lives. The growing impact of climate change on household financial stability and racial and gender wealth equity highlights the need for grantmakers to join communities, the private sector, and public agencies in reducing climate and economic impacts now and for the long term, especially for people of color and those with lower incomes or wealth.
Please join the Asset Funders Network and leading members in February for a webinar to hear how we are framing climate as our newest issue area, highlighting intersectional, grantmaking opportunities to advance economic security and equitable climate resilience equitably, and discussing strategies for philanthropy to learn and act alongside us.
