On July 9th, 2020, Louisiana AFN held a regional webinar for representatives of grant making institutions.

What is Fintech? How can funders begin identifying new ways to support digital financial work? Louisiana AFN seeks to encourage philanthropic, business, and political leaders to think about broader implications to improved fintech investments, such as improving broadband access, reducing social inequities and bridging the digital financial literacy divide.

This was a peer to peer discussion around the opportunity for new fintech investment approaches for supporting and rebuilding financial health for Louisianans, whose economic security has been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Joshua Sledge, Senior Director of Programs at Financial Health Network, joined to discuss national models that have piloted fintech programs.
