Nonprofit development corporations help revitalize the neighborhoods where they are based, usually in low-income areas. The East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) builds affordable housing and community facilities and are active in projects benefiting community health. They collaborate with well-established community and civic organizations serving the same neighborhood resident populations.
