Yuan He, MD, MPH, FAAP is the Medical Officer of Children’s Health at the Division of Reproductive, Adolescent, and Child Health at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, where she oversees the Philly Joy Bank, an unconditional cash transfer program that provides $1,000 monthly payments to 250 pregnant Philadelphians for 18 months. She is also a primary care pediatrician at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where she conducts research to inform policy around neighborhood and community-level interventions to improve health equity. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and two kids, aged 2 and 4.
