Marie is the Indiana Regional Program Officer at AFN. A native Hoosier, Marie’s experience includes more than 20 years of leveraging programs and partnerships to drive organizational growth and philanthropic impact.

Prior to restarting her consulting practice in 2018, Marie spent 10 years as Director of Professional Development and Special Initiatives for the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance (IPA). While at IPA she provided funders with learning experiences to enhance performance and inform grantmaking strategies. She also led multi-sector initiatives impacting aging, workforce development, and educational attainment issues.

As the executive director of four nonprofit organizations, Marie demonstrated her passion for nonprofit organizational development while honing her skills in program development, financial management, strategic planning, process analysis, and fund development. Her experience includes leading community development, history, arts, and direct service organizations contributing to the quality of life within Indiana.

Marie holds a B.S. in Communication from Northwestern University and is currently completing a Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology.
