Kaitlin Guthrow has dedicated her career to the nonprofit sector and has over two decades of experience in leadership, advocacy, and fundraising roles working with direct-service agencies, public policy organizations and foundations.

A native Texan, Kaitlin earned her Master of Science in social work at The University of Texas at Austin where she fell in love with public policy. After graduation, she joined Children’s Defense Fund of Texas and the Texas Early Childhood Education Coalition working alongside advocates from across the state to increase access to high quality early childhood education and development opportunities.

Her background in coalition building and public policy development was beneficial to her programmatic work at Communities In Schools of Central Texas and at Reading Partners North Texas where she learned firsthand the transformational impact that 1:1 academic and social-emotional interventions can have on students.

Most recently she played an instrumental role in supporting North Texas Giving Day, a core program of Communities Foundation of Texas and the largest community-wide giving event in the nation. She focused her efforts on raising funds to host the day and conducted trainings for nonprofit participants on how to leverage this fundraising juggernaut to support their missions.

Kaitlin now serves as Director of Partnerships for The Morris Foundation. Her history of working in a diverse array of nonprofit organizations gives her valuable insight into the unique challenges and opportunities facing these agencies as they work tirelessly to build a stronger community.
