Dina Emam is a senior associate at The Annie E. Casey Foundation in the Center for Economic Opportunity. Within CEO, she leads the family stability and assets portfolio, which includes investment strategies that span debt reduction, early wealth building, and youth and young adult financial wellbeing. Since joining the Foundation in 2018, she has led the Center’s investments in youth and young adult engagement, entrepreneurship, and social enterprise. Prior to joining Casey, Dina was a research associate at the Urban Institute. In that role, she served as an evaluator on various research projects assessing the impacts of financial capability strategies, including the first randomized controlled trial of financial coaching. Dina holds a Master of Applied Economics and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Swarthmore College.
