Dr. Jackson joined the Texas Women’s Foundation in February 2012 and serves as Senior VP – Grants & Research. She provides direction for research focused on women and girls, leadership in the $4 M+ in annual grants process and is growing the Foundation’s legislative advocacy initiative.

Dr. Jackson started her career in the for-profit arena with twelve years in health care administration focused on women’s health and managed care process improvement. She moved to the nonprofit arena in 2001 with Susan G. Komen for the Cure training staff and volunteers around the U.S. to develop, manage, and evaluate local breast cancer grants.

Later, Dr. Jackson opened both the Foundation Relations and Research Development offices at the University of Texas at Dallas during five years as Assistant VP of Research Development.

A native Texan, Dr. Jackson earned her Doctoral degree in Health Studies at Texas Women’s University. She spends her free time cooking, reading, playing with her two cats and one dog and traveling with husband, Bob.
