With a background in public health, Dana Huber is the Director, Programs & Strategic Learning at The New York Women’s Foundation. In her role, she focuses on a range of areas, including disability justice, economic justice and strategic learning.
She has more than a decade of experience in consulting and philanthropy related to women’s health. Dana worked with clients on issues ranging from maternal and child health to cancer care at Rabin Martin, a global public health consulting firm. Prior to this, she was the Program Officer for the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, where she managed grantmaking activities for a portfolio of projects focused on improving breast cancer prevention, care and support. Earlier in her career, Dana supported the Gender, HIV/AIDS and Security program at the Social Science Research Council, where she coordinated convenings of researchers, policymakers and advocates to reconsider the relationships between gender-based violence, health and safety.
Dana holds a Master’s in Public Health from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a Master’s in International Relations from the University of Chicago. Currently, Dana is a PhD Candidate at the CUNY School of Public Health. She is also the Board President of All-Options, an organization that promotes unconditional, judgment-free support for people in all their decisions, feelings, and experiences with pregnancy, parenting, abortion, and adoption.
