Anne Im is the Senior Director of Community Impact and Policy at Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF), where she leads a portfolio spanning economic mobility, strategic grantmaking, regional partnerships, donor engagement, and impact investing. A passionate advocate for equity and social justice, she has helped advance major initiatives, including the launch of the Black Freedom Fund and Equity Forward, to create more inclusive and equitable communities. Before her current role, Anne served as SVCF’s Immigration Program Officer, leading the foundation’s immigration strategy and Census 2020 initiative. Through her work, she has championed efforts to expand opportunity and improve outcomes for historically underserved communities in the region.
Before joining SVCF, Anne held leadership roles at Asian Americans for Community Involvement, serving as Director of Community Programs & Advocacy and later as Director of Development. Her work encompassed youth and senior services, domestic violence programs, HIV prevention, health education, public policy advocacy, coalition building, fundraising, marketing and communications.
Anne’s public service experience includes positions at both the federal and local levels of government. In Washington D.C., she served on the legislative staff of the late U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein. She also worked locally as legislative staff to retired San Mateo County Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson, helping advance policy initiatives to support local residents. Anne holds a BA in Sociology from Tufts University and an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters.
