Anna McQuiston is the Executive Director at The MidSouth Development District (MDD). MDD is a quasi-government organization that builds local wealth in a 6-county region spanning AR, MS & TN. The organization leads regional planning, convening and funding acquisition for the MidSouth’s future. MDD focuses on increasing quality housing, connected mobility and quality jobs in the region.
Anna’s strengths as a communicator, facilitator, relationship builder, and her ability to turn strategies into achievements has enabled her professional success leading regional initiatives, building cross functional teams, and designing and implementing strategic action plans. Anna has been the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization, VP of Marketing at a real estate firm, worked at an Internet startup, and owned her own consulting firm.
Anna serves on the Executive Directors Council of the National Association of Regional Councils and as the Alum Secretary for her high school. She served on the Capital Campaign Committee of Calvary Episcopal Church and is a graduate of New Memphis LDI and Fellows Programs.
Anna has a daughter studying Engineering at Virginia Tech and a four-legged child Suzy who gets her up early in the morning for Anna to go to Pilates while Suzy goes back to sleep.
