Aimee Durfee is a Senior Program Officer at the Y & H Soda Foundation, where she manages a grant portfolio focused on helping East Bay families increase their household incomes and build assets. Aimee has been working on economic justice issues for over twenty years, as a policy advocate, technical assistance provider, public speaker, research editor, grant maker, and direct legal services provider. She has expertise in a variety of issues including access to public benefits, women’s economic self-sufficiency, job training for high-wage occupations, asset building (credit, debt and savings), and community economic development. Aimee loves to work in collaboration with others, and is an experienced group facilitator and project manager. Prior to joining the Y & H Soda Foundation, Aimee worked at United Way of the Bay Area, Transgender Law Center, Insight Center for Community Economic Development and Equal Rights Advocates. Aimee holds a Bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College, and a law degree from UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law.
