Seattle: Transformational Partnerships: Advancing Immigrant Integration through Empowerment Economics

Featuring: Christina Aguilera, Institute of Assets and Social Policy / Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy

Please join the Asset Funders Network and the Immigrant and Refugee Funders Collaborative for a community convening of Philanthropy, Public and Nonprofit Policy and Program Practitioners and Community Leaders as we explore opportunities for community engaged grant making to support transformational partnerships that build power and economic well being within immigrant and refugee communities.

Together, we’ll explore principles of integration and equitable processes and how these are embodied in the empowerment economics framework. We’ll examine how the empowerment economics framework applies in our region including the impact of legal status on financial health and leverage points for building assets and closing wealth divides as well as connect with and learn from innovative community based models around the country and within Washington state.
