Grantmaker Lunch Conversation: Philanthropy & Impact Investing for Housing
Join fellow grantmakers for a lunchtime conversation on how philanthropy can use impact investing alongside traditional grantmaking to advance housing solutions.
Hosted by the Asset Funders Network of Central Texas in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, this informal gathering during the HousingWorks Summit on April 17 will bring together funders interested in exploring how philanthropic capital can help address the region’s housing challenges. The conversation will also include spotlights from Austin Community Foundation, Episcopal Health Foundation, and Texas Housing Conservancy Fund, who will share their work related to impact investing in housing.
The conversation will:
Introduce the basics of impact investing for housing
Highlight Texas-based examples and emerging opportunities
Share information about the Dallas Fed’s new impact investing network
Create space for peer discussion about tools, barriers, and opportunities
Participants will leave with practical examples, connections with peers, and ideas for how impact investing might complement their current housing strategies.
