AFN Connecticut Chapter Meeting

The Connecticut AFN Chapter meeting will be on September 12, 2025.

In March 2025, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation released new research entitled The Upside Growth Potential and the Future of Fairfield County Connecticut. Inequities in Fairfield County are apparent in income, education, housing, and wealth. These inequities, of course, do not stop at the borders of Fairfield County. This report looks at what we could accomplish if we close some of the opportunity gaps in Fairfield County, but it also has relevance to the state as a whole.

On September 12, 2025, please join Dr. Tanya Hills as she shares this research with particular focus on recommendations that align with AFN CT priorities and what is possible if we make gains toward increased equity in education, small business, housing, and wealth building, including Baby Bonds, emergency savings, savings matches, and reparative models.

You can read the research here.

This meeting is open to Connecticut AFN Members, including philanthropic foundations, financial institutions, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), credit unions, United Ways, public sector funders, and invited community partners. Specific focus on the Connecticut region. Please contact Paula Dworek: paula@assetfunders.org for more information or a calendar invitation.
