Bay Area: Funder-Only Session following the 2017 Asset-Building Symposium

Nov 02, 2017

On behalf of the Bay Area Asset Funders Network, we would like to invite you to a funders-only meeting directly following our 2017 Asset Building Symposium on Thursday, November 2nd. Along with the BA AFN Steering Committee, we will be joined by AFN staff to provide an overview of national philanthropic asset-building efforts. We will also highlight areas around the state and country where other funders are working together to promote economic security.

At this meeting, we will debrief on learnings and key takeaways from the symposium, share updates on our individual funding portfolios, answer your questions, and discuss compelling asset-building issues you would like to learn more about in 2018.

DATE: Thursday, November 2, 2017
TIME: 2:30 - 4:00 pm
LOCATION: Preservation Park, 1233 Preservation Park Way, Oakland

Please register for the funders-only meeting separately from the day's event, though we hope you can join us for the entire symposium to gain valuable insights from the field.

As a reminder, the symposium will take place from 8:30am to 2:30pm on November 2nd. Registration for the symposium can be made here

This symposium is co-organized by the Bay Area Asset Funders Network and the California Asset Building Coalition.

BA AFN Steering Committee members include Bank of America Foundation, The California Wellness Foundation, Friedman Family Foundation, The James Irvine Foundation, San Francisco Foundation, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, United Way of the Bay Area, Walter and Elise Haas Fund, and Y & H Soda Foundation.
