Jennifer Farland serves as a Communications Strategist for Asset Funders Network (AFN). In this role, she provides a full range of communications guidance and project management for funder briefs, marketing materials, and social media.

Jennifer’s career spans over 15 years and includes stints as a press secretary on Capitol Hill, an on-air television news reporter, and a public relations consultant. Jennifer is also the founder of ENGAGE – j.farland consulting, where she works with a variety of clients to help solve challenges and seek new opportunities to expand current situations through message development, communications, project management, and events.Before AFN, Jennifer was the Director of Community Relations at Fannie Mae where she was responsible for developing and leading the company’s efforts on maximizing the impact of their employees’ resources on meeting the company’s mission and overseeing the execution of the company’s flagship community outreach program, Help the Homeless, raising over $85 million for homeless service providers. Prior to her appointment to Director of Community Relations, Jennifer was the Director of Regional Management and Housing Partnerships where she directed several initiatives.

Jennifer has a degree in communications and resides in the Washington D.C. area.
